Are you interested in learning how to lead art and science partnerships that catalyze community action on social justice and environmental issues? Join a team of artists and scientists who will discuss a new university-community program for art and science collaboration and guidelines for this work. The program and guidelines were formed through research and interviews with art and science leaders nationwide and seek to support artists, scientists and community members in co-designing projects for real-world impact.
In the first 30 minutes, artists and scientists Patrick Chandler and Emmanuelle Vital who will give an overview of the art + science guidelines.
The second half is for artists and scientists to discuss their ideas and interest in art + science work and to learn about joining art + science partnership cohorts offered through the CU Boulder Office for Outreach and Engagement and Boulder County Arts Alliance, and who co-sponsor this event. We encourage you to bring a visual representation of your work (web link, image, graph, etc.) to share with other attendees!
