I spent the day working on getting our Satellite phone to successfully link with a Windows 8.1 laptop. I had to spend a few hours with Robert at Applied Satellite Technology Systems but we got a successful test. The fastest speed I was able to obtain was 9.6 kbps download rate (19,200 baud). I will be attempting to setup the laptop as a WiFi hotspot tomorrow so that we can use our mobile phones to upload data through the laptop as it will be already somewhat compressed data by default. This will help us to improve speed for our communication.
