Only two weeks left! This summer has flown by, and I’m starting to feel the pressure of so many deadlines coming up all at once. The poster, the talk, AGU abstract, CU Boulder application, and so on… can we please squeeze a few extra hours into each day?? Despite moving and some personal troubles this week that left me struggling to be physically present at the office, I was able to get a lot done and have really gotten the hang of plotting graphs in Python. Katy assigned me a “plotting challenge” to create something I hadn’t attempted before, in an effort to support some of my other findings, and I’m happy to say that I passed her test!

In other news, Katy and Greg informed me that they will be able to secure funding for me to travel to AGU and present our work. I’m so appreciative and can’t wait to go! A few weeks ago, I reached out to my soon-to-be professors to ask if I can take my finals early, as AGU falls during exam week, and received a yes from each – glad I have a reason to do so now!

Until next time!

Jess
