Over this last weekend, I did a decent amount of work at home.  I did most of my work outside, at a park with some friends. Of course I would have rather spent my time hanging out with my friends or family, but sometimes that’s not always the case. I found out that working extra hours on the weekend is totally worth it, because I’d much rather compile data in the sunshine than in my little cubical. The only downside to this is my laptop is Windows based, while ever computer at NOAA is a Macintosh, so converting files can get pretty difficult, and distort the data.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday, as I do not get much exciting human-to-human- contact throughout the week.

  • Sorry you feel so locked away in your cubicle, Lisa. Maybe you and Luca can meet up and have lunch together outside or go for a walk on the trails. The nice thing is your building backs up to open space. Nice that you worked outside over the weekend and compiled data. Good luck in getting it converted correctly!
