Dear FIREXers;
Today the large fire was Engelmann Spruce, which we had to repeat in the afternoon for a second try at filling the chamber properly. It seemed to work on the second go-round.
Tomorrow we will have Douglas Fir as the big burn, rice straw, ponderosa, lodgepole and duff for the smaller burns.
We are working on a schedule for the science meeting. Every group will get about 10 minutes to present, which will make for a full day of science and discussion. Again, please let us know if you are coming to the October 28 science meeting, if you haven’t already done so.
Thanks,
Jim, Carsten and Bob
