We have recently passed the half-way mark for the Annual Summary of Accomplishments performance cycle. For researchers and university staff, at least one coaching session per year is recommended. Planning, coaching, and evaluation are all important aspects of effective supervision.
Reminders:
· Performance plans are fluid documents, intended to be updated/modified throughout the year.
· The period of performance for the Annual Summary of Accomplishments is July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
· Coaching should be done regularly and can be informal, coaching guidance from CU Boulder HR can be found here and also see the Coaching Tips Template:

Upcoming training to support performance management:
· Best Practices for Supervisors training on February 6, from 10-11:30 am presented by CIRES HR. This is recommended for all CIRES supervisors.
· Performance Management training on March 5, from 10-11:30 am presented by CU Boulder HR. This is recommended for all CIRES supervisors.
· Annual Summary of Accomplishments overview on May 7 from 10-11:30 am.
