Health and Safety Guidance for the Boulder Campus is often updated. We will update this post to reflect the latest. Please review the information below and access relevant websites for further information. (September 17, 2020)
a. Employees Working on Campus: Employees testing positive are now required to inform their supervisors immediately. Supervisors then complete the Daily Health Questionnaire on the part of the employee. Supervisors will then work with CIRES Facilities & HR to ensure appropriate personnel and facilities obligations are met while maintaining employee confidentiality. Detailed campus supervisor guidance is available here. Also see: Staff and Researchers Workplace Risk Mitigation Decision Tree (including grad students and student employees) and Researchers Companion Document .
b. Employees Working Remotely: Remote employees are not required to inform supervisors of a positive COVID test; however, they are advised to contact CIRES HR for guidance on taking FFCRA related COVID leave. As a reminder, employees who are asked to self-quarantine or who test positive for COVID-19 have a one-time allotment of 80 sick hours available in advance of personal sick leave usage. Leave is charged to employees’ regular salary funding sources.
