The CIRES Professional Development Plan is intended to encourage and support CIRES researchers and administrators to participate in educational activities that enhance professional development.  These activities should be non-technical in nature, with a goal of accessing trainings and informational meetings that enhance professional development.  

During the first year of this program, we will prioritize requests for CU-led trainings, many of which are free and others which have an associated cost.  Non-CU led training requests may be submitted for review, but are not guaranteed approval. We have limited funding for the initial year of this program, but will work to ensure equitable distribution of the funds among CIRES units.

All requests will be reviewed by CIRES HR.  Upon approval, CIRES HR will convey approval to your unit’s finance manager to assist in payment processing.  If you have a request for technical training related to your role, please discuss these requests directly with your respective finance manager.
