Learning more about the app has been great, and there is not much that I have to do as far as programming for it (since that has been done). So far, I have been focused on collecting data because that’s what we need, to collect and interpret information to better understand what’s going on with the magnetic field. I mean, can’t this be said for any science? When is it considered “too much” data? Is there such thing?

I am thrilled to be a part of this project that can help identify geomagnetic anomalies, as well as the true North direction, and likely be used as a source of navigation by the military. Being a part of this research, of course I can come up with a million reasons as to why it is important, and having the military, specifically the navy and air force interested, gives reason for the country to see its importance as well.

Thank you so much for what you’re doing for our Nation’s Armed Forces. I appreciate the pride that you take in that! Oh and you mentioned something about never having too much data. I’m including links to web mapping servers in the comments and will be happy to help work with you to get them to work in GIS programs and online. If there’s anything else you need, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Love your question about how much data is enough!! We always can use more for any area of science. That is how science moves forward. Great insight, Anjel!!
