As part of the busy (but fun) introductory week, the 2017 RECCS cohort enjoyed a tour of NOAA visiting with scientists from the National Weather Service, the Space Weather Prediction Center, and Science On a Sphere. This year, four students are based at NOAA , five students are with CIRES, one student is at INSTAAR, and another student is working with the USGS as part of their summer research experiences.
