This weeks has been sort of an egg scramble, with lots of parts and pieces all jumbled together into one delicious meal. Friday my partner in crime and I went out again to the field where we saw iron precipitation, feral dogs, rivers running at 550cfs, and the slow but sure decaying out of our minds while trudging through a 12 hour work day. We collected a mountain of data to be processed and sent off to a lab for characterization. We also stopped for a hamburger.
Monday and tuesday saw a bit of lab work, a small talk abut boats, and other such things. Today I am digesting small filters in acid. I keep making jokes about how we are going to “digest the filters by eating them!” to other people milling about the lab, but iv’e only gotten a few chuckles.
Things are moving along.

Can’t wait for pictures from your sampling from a kayak! I am sure you will find a lot of takers to come join you for field work on the day you kayak Lake Dillon.
