The D-ICE experiment has finally made its way out the door and is headed to Barrow! In total, we shipped two crates and one pallet containing the two tables we built, miscellaneous tools, ventilators, radiometers, cameras, mounting hardware, logger boxes, and more. During the several weeks before shipping, we were able to troubleshoot the setup, which included completing a system calibration on the roof here at NOAA in Boulder. The shipment should take several weeks to arrive in Barrow before we do on August 7th 🙂 Looking forward to setting this experiment up in a few weeks! Lets do some science!
Safe travels, you two! Looking forward to seeing how this all goes! – Chuck
