As you may be aware, this year CIRES is adjusting our performance evaluation (ASA) schedule for research faculty to align with the University’s schedule. February 21, Lucia Harrop, Nate Campbell and I presented the new schedule to CIRES members who work at NOAA. We will schedule a time to present this information to CIRES members on the UCB campus in the near future. Briefly, employees have more time to complete self-evaluations this year: Self-evaluations (ASAs) are due to supervisors no later than July 31, 2018 and will cover performance from January 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018. Supervisors will submit evaluations and ratings of all employees to CIRES HR by August 15. Supervisors may choose to ask supervisees to complete their ASAs as early as July 1; theASA application is currently open on insideCIRES. The August 15 submission deadline for evaluations and rankings is fixed.
University staff follow a different performance evaluation schedule and process; I have already informed these individuals and their supervisors, by separate cover, of this process.
