Dear CIRES Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to our new CIRES Finance Director, someone who many of you already know quite well: Annie Fudale. Annie has worked for CIRES on the Finance Team since 2018, progressively taking on more responsibility and demonstrating outstanding leadership skills. I am pleased she will be taking on this role, and also looking forward to the continued strong leadership of the talented triumvirate that has so ably led Finance in recent months:
- Andy Wang, who has been serving as Finance’s liaison to the CIRES Senior Management Team (SMT), is returning to his critical position of CIRES’ Research Administrator, reporting to Annie, and he will continue to be a leader on the Finance Team.
- Ted De Maria continues to lead the Proposal Team, now a stand-alone team in the CIRES administration, and his title is now CIRES Proposal Director.
- Both Ted and Annie serve on the SMT and report directly to me.
The Finance and Proposal teams’ management and reporting structure will otherwise remain unchanged: All of you will continue to work with your current Finance Manager and Proposal Analyst. As always, Andy, Annie, and Ted will work closely during the transition, which I expect to be seamless.
Please join me in welcoming Annie to her new position, and congratulating her, her team, and the rest of us, as I believe we will all benefit from her leadership.
