This fall, CIRES transitioned to Constant Contact as the new platform for all internal communications. While the transition has been mostly smooth, we’d like to report a few hiccups we’ve recently observed.

  • Links not working. Some links (typically sign up links for events, etc.) are not working. This is a Constant Contact issue they are working to resolve. As of the end of last week, links were working consistently again, but please contact us if you find links that are broken.
  • Repeat emails sent erroneously. On 11/9/23, Constant Contact sent two emails that had already been sent earlier in the week. Constant Contact is working on a fix for this known issue, they have told us.
  • Emails going to Quarantine. Last week, all CU Boulder-based Constant Contact users found that suddenly, many of our emails were accidentally quarantined; CU Boulder Office of Information Technology (OIT) has released the quarantined emails and has a plan for responding more quickly if this happens again.

Please know that we are working through these issues, and we are always happy to hear directly from you if new challenges arise. Please start by emailing ciresnews@colorado.edu, and we can determine if we need to include the CIRES IT or campus OIT teams.
