Kari Bowen is the new CIESRDS Administrative and Science Manager, a position dedicated to ensuring our cooperative agreement with NOAA runs smoothly and efficiently. Kari, a geoscientist and applied meteorologist, will work in the David Skaggs Research Center. She is happy to see drop-ins in 3B511, where she is generally in-person Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Becca Edwards (Ciancanelli) is the new CIRES Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and will be spending time at all our locations, from the DSRC and main campus to east campus. Becca holds a PhD in inorganic chemistry and a Master of Arts in teaching secondary science. She has worked in higher education for over 20 years, most recently at the University of Denver.
Sommer Axner is a new CIRES Proposal Analyst. Sommer comes to CIRES with previous pre-award and post-award research administration experience at CU Anschutz and the V Foundation.
