Supply chain issues continue to affect a number of commodities, making it difficult to procure certain goods and services. Products such as plastics, chemicals, equipment using chips, and PPE are all experiencing long lead times due to high demand and transportation issues. Laptops are experiencing long delays due to the tightened supply of semiconductor chips, as well as glass for displays. Lead times for laptops has increased significantly, some taking as long as three months. If you need to purchase any of the mentioned commodities for your research, please contact your Finance Manager as soon as possible.
