Employees paid through federal funds must regularly certify the effort spent on projects through ePERS: electronic Personnel Effort Reports.  Unfortunately, CIRES is leading the CU Boulder campus with the highest number of outstanding ePERs. We need everyone’s help getting any outstanding ePERs certified as soon as possible so that we are compliant with CU policy and federal regulations!!!

If you’re certified already, thanks! If not, please log into the campus portal now:

To access the ePERS page, log in to your campus portal https://my.cu.edu/.  Click on the CU Resources Home drop-down menu, select Business Tools, then click on the ePERs tile. Unfortunately, we have been informed that the Chrome web browser is not always working with the ePERs page. Please try using a different browser if you cannot open an ePERS with your Chrome browser.

Here’s a link for employees that gives an overview of what ePERs are and how to certify them.

Supervisors– If you have any employees who have left CU, we need your assistance in getting their final ePERs certified because an employee who no longer has an active appointment at CU cannot certify their own final ePERs.

Here’s a link for supervisors explaining how they can certify a terminated (official term for an employee who has left CU) employee’s ePERs.

ePERS certification needs to be done three times per year at the end of each semester:

  1. Fall ePERS: Available to be submitted in January
  2. Spring ePERS: Available to be submitted in June
  3. Summer ePERS: Available to be submitted in September

Please consider adding a reminder on your calendar for each of these months so you don’t forget to certify your ePERS. If you have questions, please contact your CIRES Finance Manager.
