As of 10/01/2025, all Senior/Key Personnel submitting proposals to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) must complete training on other support disclosure requirements prior to the Just in Time (JIT) and Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) stages, pursuant to NIH Guide Notice NOT-OD-25-133. This requirement is met through CU Boulder’s Research Security (RS) training and all Senior/Key Personnel must complete the RS training before an NIH JIT or RPPR is completed.

The CIRES Proposals team is seeing a trend where this training is becoming ‘required’ for all federal funds. If you plan to apply for or currently have federal funding, we highly suggest taking the training ahead of time and avoid unnecessary stress prior to a proposal submission.
