WPO’s annual 2022 Notice of Funding Opportunity was recently published. The Weather Program Office has 6 competitions in FY22. There’s a broad range of science covered in these applications which may be of interest to our CIRES researchers!
Letters of Intent (LOI’s) are strongly encouraged and are due by 5 pm ET on Sept 14. Full applications for all competitions must be received by 5 pm ET on November 17. The competitions and their information sheet links are listed below:
1) Fire Weather & Atmospheric Composition (FWAC)
2) Climate Testbed (CTB)
4) Joint Technology Transfer Initiative (JTTI)
5) Subseasonal-to-Seasonal (S2S)
6) Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment in the United States (VORTEX-USA)
