Though we have only been here a week, I feel like I&#8217;ve already been packing in as much adventure as possible! Firstly, I miss the Boulder Bike Trail. It&#8217;s been a blast getting back on two wheels and riding the bike everywhere &#8211; including to Longmont &amp; back! I&#8217;ve also checked out some of the trail systems and went rock climbing (on some beautiful igneous rock) at Umbrella Tree with Brandon and Elder! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, I&#8217;m heading into the wilderness of the Cache la Poudre Basin, by Fort Collins to collect soil samples for my project. I look forward to another fun day in the sun! After we collect soil samples today, I will spend the rest of the week running the samples through a burn simulator followed by a rainfall simulator.
