This is a key issue in UB, since <em>ger<\/em> district stoves are responsible for a significant portion of particulate matter (PM) emissions in UB (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atmospolres.com\/articles\/Volume2\/issue2\/APR-11-017.pdf\">this paper<\/a> for more details). If we want to reduce emissions by using better stoves, it is important to be able to quantify what \u201cbetter\u201d means so that objective choices can be made.
