{"id":378,"date":"2015-05-31T12:02:14","date_gmt":"2015-05-31T18:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ciresblogs.colorado.edu\/firncover\/?p=378"},"modified":"2015-05-31T18:52:03","modified_gmt":"2015-06-01T00:52:03","slug":"act-15-completes-largest-compaction-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciresblogs.colorado.edu\/firncover\/2015\/05\/31\/act-15-completes-largest-compaction-network\/","title":{"rendered":"ACT-15 Completes Largest Continuous Compaction Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the FirnCover 2015 project comes to a close, our climate scientists successfully completed the largest network of firn compaction instruments ever deployed, monitoring continuously on the ice sheet. \u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Firn\" target=\"_blank\">Firn<\/a>Cover network now consists of 41 separate instruments installed at 8 stations across Greenland!<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to hearing from the researchers about the data they&#8217;ll be collecting over the next few years.
