{"id":508,"date":"2019-11-13T18:31:43","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T18:31:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ciresblogs.colorado.edu\/cires-admin\/?p=508"},"modified":"2020-09-18T18:21:19","modified_gmt":"2020-09-18T18:21:19","slug":"guidance-on-additional-holiday-leave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciresblogs.colorado.edu\/cires-admin\/2019\/11\/13\/guidance-on-additional-holiday-leave\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidance on Additional Holiday Leave"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As noted in the October 30th&nbsp;<em>CU Boulder Today<\/em>, Chancellor DiStefano announced that all CU employees will have an<strong>&nbsp;additional 16 hours of holiday leave available for their use between November 25 and January 3<\/strong>.&nbsp; This applies to all leave eligible CIRES employees at CU and NOAA.&nbsp; Below are guidelines and leave reporting requirements for these additional holiday hours:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Employees will receive 16 hours of holiday pay, prorated for part time and\/or any leave without pay in the month.<\/li><li>Employees already on approved annual, sick or other type of paid leave may use the holiday pay on those days.<\/li><li>Employees should seek prior approval from supervisors for use of this time.<\/li><li>These additional holiday hours&nbsp;<em>should not<\/em>&nbsp;be recorded in My.Leave.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UPDATED: The Chancellor also authorized early release 31 December, at 2pm. CIRES is implementing this as we would any other early release: if you follow the CU Boulder schedule, you may leave 3 hours early.
