These occupational areas were gleaned from the information submitted to CIRES HR as part of the Fall 2021 Position Description Project.\u00a0<strong>Your functional title should reflect the majority (50% or more) of your overall role.\u00a0<\/strong>We recognize that CIRES scientists may have multiple roles and responsibilities that could fall within more than one functional area; however, for purposes of this project, your functional title should reflect the majority (50% or more) of your primary role. <br><br>Please note that in selecting a functional title, this does not mean that your CIRES position description has to match the functional title definition completely. Functional title descriptions are representative of a primary area of work that may span multiple sectors and so the descriptions remain purposely broad. Again, please select the functional title that aligns most closely to your overall nature of work at CIRES.Please note that the functional title is separate from your\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/colorado.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e4d2f8cdd012be92d10bd8e14&amp;id=21c9f651af&amp;e=f23ba4eaa2\" target=\"_blank\">CU job title<\/a>, CIRES working title, and career track designation. Functional titles will directly correspond to your job family and occupational area and will largely be for use by CIRES HR.<br><br><strong>Please select your functional title, in collaboration with your supervisor, through InsideCIRES, no later than Friday, April 7, 2023.\u00a0<\/strong>Directions are below. For our project to successfully move forward, each CIRES Associate and Research Scientist will need a functional title; therefore, if you do not select one, CIRES HR will assign one for you.
