NOAA Weather Program Office NOFO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Weather Program Office notice of funding opportunity for FY 2024<\/a> is now open (NOAA-OAR-WPO-2024-2008082). Prior to submitting a full proposal for the Climate Testbed (CTB) and Fire Weather competitions identified in this announcement, all PIs are strongly encouraged (but not required) to submit a preapplication to NOAA in the form of a Letter of Intent (LOI) for each planned project. LOIs can be submitted through this form<\/a>, or by email to oar.wpo.nofocompetition@noaa.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The deadline to submit Letters of Intent is September 19<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong> for both competitions. The deadline for full proposal submission is November 16<\/strong>th<\/sup><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please notify CIRES Proposals if you plan to apply to this funding opportunity. If you have already submitted, or if you plan to submit an LOI, please provide a copy of your LOI to the CIRES Proposal team. The Proposals team will then create an entry for your proposal in the Proposal Tool, as well as assign you a Proposal Analyst. NOAA Climate Program Office NOFO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Climate Program Office notice of funding opportunity for FY 2024<\/a> is now open (NOAA-OAR-CPO-2024-2008005<\/a>). The deadline to submit Letters of Intent (LOIs) passed on August 18th<\/sup><\/strong> for the CVP and MAPP competitions and September 11th<\/sup><\/strong> for the AC4 competition. The deadline for full proposal submission is November 17th<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you plan to apply for the full proposal, please notify CIRES Proposals<\/a>. If you have submitted an LOI, please also provide a copy of your LOI to the CIRES Proposal team. FASTLANE to be DECOMMISSIONED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you may already be aware, as of January 30, 2023, in accordance with implementation of the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 23-1)<\/a>, FastLane will no longer be a submission option for any funding opportunity. As such, NSF has been working towards migrating proposal preparation and submission capabilities from FastLane into Research.gov. Due to this migration, all FastLane submitted proposals, in-progress letters of intent, proposals, and supplemental funding requests will not be transferred to Research.gov<\/strong>. Therefore, access to these requests will only be available until Friday, September 29, 2023<\/strong>. After this date, FastLane will be decommissioned<\/strong> and you will no longer have access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have any submitted documents currently in FastLane, please ensure you login and download copies before the Sept 29th<\/sup> deadline, as you will no longer be able to access the system after this date. \u00b7     The FastLane homepage URL (www.fastlane.nsf.gov<\/strong><\/a>) will redirect to the Research.gov homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7     Access to FastLane Proposal Review and Panelist Functions will be from the Research.gov homepage using the links indicated by an “F” icon displayed to the left of each FastLane functionality link. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7     Links to decommissioned FastLane functionality (i.e., FastLane proposal file updates, budget revisions, and proposal downloads) will be removed from the Research.gov homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7     FastLane homepage top navigation bar tabs will be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SciENcv required for Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (other) Support forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning October 23, 2023, NSF will require that SciENcv be used for preparation of the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (other) Support Documents. SciENcv will produce an NSF-compliant PDF version of the biographical sketch. The NSF provided fillable PDF forms will no longer be accepted for proposal submission. \u00b7     Friday, October 20, 2023<\/strong> (5:00 PM submitter\u2019s local time) is the last day to upload<\/strong> the NSF fillable PDF format for the biographical sketch and current and pending (other) support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7     Proposers currently may prepare the biographical sketch and current and pending (other) support using either SciENcv<\/strong><\/a> or the NSF fillable PDFs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7     The mandate to use SciENcv only for preparation of the biographical sketch and current and pending (other) support will go into effect for new proposals submitted or due on or after October 23, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7     Please be aware that biographical sketch and current and pending (other) support format is validated for Grants.gov proposals at proposal submission to NSF rather than at document upload as in Research.gov. Grants.gov proposals which include the NSF fillable PDF format will not pass the submission validations after Friday, October 20, 2023 (5:00 PM submitter\u2019s local time).
