{"id":2098,"date":"2021-12-13T22:16:32","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T22:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ciresblogs.colorado.edu\/cires-admin\/?p=2098"},"modified":"2022-04-21T16:31:25","modified_gmt":"2022-04-21T16:31:25","slug":"access-to-cu-information-systems-now-require-vpn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciresblogs.colorado.edu\/cires-admin\/2021\/12\/13\/access-to-cu-information-systems-now-require-vpn\/","title":{"rendered":"Updated: No longer needed Access to CU Information Systems Now Require VPN"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p>Due to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colorado.edu\/today\/2021\/12\/12\/how-access-campus-it-services-during-global-software-security-threat\">recent security exploit<\/a>, University of Colorado Information Systems have moved certain tools behind the CU Firewall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These tools include: MyCUInfo (Supervisor Tools, MyLeave, Concur Travel and Expense, etc), Buff Portal Advising, eComm, Salesforce, PeopleSoft HR, the Student Information System (SIS), Degree Audit and Transfer Credit (DATC). Canvas and Zoom, remain unaffected by this added measure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To access these tools you will need to utilize the CU VPN via the Cisco AnyConnect Client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have never used the CU VPN, please use the following these steps to install and connect to the CU VPN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2022 Navigate a browser to this page:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/oit.colorado.edu\/vpn-virtual-private-network\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/oit.colorado.edu\/vpn-virtual-private-network<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Download and run the appropriate Cisco AnyConnect client for your computer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Once installed, run the Cisco AnyConnect Client and enter&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/vpn.colorado.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">vpn.colorado.edu<\/a>&nbsp;for the server address and click connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Enter your Identikey username and password when prompted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once connected you will be able to navigate to systems as you did before.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you run into any issues,  email&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:ciresithelp@colorado.edu\" target=\"_blank\">ciresithelp@colorado.edu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to a recent security exploit, University of Colorado Information Systems have moved certain tools behind the CU Firewall.
