photos from a long day&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was a beautiful day on the North Slope! \u00a0Low clouds formed over Oliktok Point, replacing the clear weather we&#8217;d seen yesterday. \u00a0This set up a very interesting scene, with\u00a0the clouds supported by an air layer that was not the same one as was being observed at the surface. \u00a0A perfect reason to deploy some unmanned aircraft and a tethered balloon to see what&#8217;s going on up there! \u00a0We didn&#8217;t waste the opportunity, and sampled the atmosphere from sun up until well after sunset. \u00a0It was\u00a0a very long day, so for the time being I&#8217;ll let the photos do the talking!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_137\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption
