I was so excited to come to work today and just found out that I actually can’t do much with my project today. I am still waiting for my lab equipment to show up. In order to do my project, I need a LIVE/DEAD BacLight Bacterial Viability Kit, some filters and a gradient called Nycodenz. Two of the other people in the lab are also waiting for the their equipment to show up too. I realized that in the real job, everything doesn’t go as fast as you want. Most of the time, we need to wait!!!
I am planing to read more articles relevant to my project, and hoping I can help other people in the lab with their lab work, so I can gain more experiences!!!

Sounds like you are learning what it is to do science Caihong! Lab work doesn’t proceed neatly and quickly like it does in the bio or chem labs. Fortunately, there are lots of way to spend your time productively – like you’ve done – reading, learning new techniques, etc.
